Update to products broke my CS6 programs!

One or two days ago I received notification that my adobe products had updates so, naturally, I updated them. Due to a lack of sufficient internet I only updated a few programs including Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash. I can not remember what others I updated. Once the update had completed I found that I suddenly had an unwanted Creative Cloud program on my desktop (I specifically bought CS6 on disk because I refuse to use CC) but, most distressingly, Photoshop refused to open. It kept coming up with an error claiming that the file wasn't there, it was already in use or I didn't have permission to access it. I then tried Flash as a beginning to see whether all of my Adobe programs responded the same way. Flash ran but complained about the Application Manager not being there.

I proceeded to uninstall my CS6 Design and Web Premium package to see if re-installing it would help. To begin with I told it to keep my preferences. Once I'd finished the install, though, Photoshop still did not work. Every other program included with the Creative Suite package worked fine but Photoshop, for some reason, kept crashing after about a second of running. No error codes or names were presented to me to indicate what went wrong, Windows just told me it encountered a problem and closed the program. I then rebooted the computer to see if that would help. It made it worse. Once my computer was booted up again I found that all of the programs from the Creative Suite had disappeared from the Start screen and would not start even if I specifically selected them from the right-click menu of a file.

I proceeded to uninstall and re-install the Suite several times after that, deleting more and more before re-installing to try and fix the problem. I got to the point of uninstalling every product by Adobe that was on my computer, using the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner to remove files, using the CCleaner program to remove everything I could identify as being related to Adobe from the registry and me personally going through files and deleting as much Adobe stuff as I could find before completely emptying my trash and temp directories then rebooting my computer and finally attempting re-install after that. I still got the same result.

CS6 Design and Web Premium still shows up in my Programs list but I can't access or use any of the products included in it except Acrobat X Pro, which is the only thing that hasn't broken.

Finally, here is a list of computer specs for your information:

Product: Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium (Student and Teacher Edition)

OS: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz

RAM: 32.0 GB

Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

I'm sure you don't need some of that information but it's there just in case.

Thank you for any help you can give!

uninstall all cc programs and cs6 programs and then run the cleaner for both cc and cs6 per Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

    then reinstall your cs6.

if you've already done that, in exactly that order contact adobe support by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

I uninstalled everything related to CC and CS6 then ran the cleaner. I just used option 1. All for the cleaning. Is that good enough or should I go back and specifically select the CC and CS6 options?

    Thanks for the help!
