Updated Lightroom to 5.7.1 and now my license isnt valid

Hi,

I've had Lightroom for years on my macbook pro and today I noticed that I hadnt updated to the latest version (5.7.1). After updating I noticed that its now CC and my license key doesnt work anymore. I am on High Sierra. I have searched the forums and there are some posts where users of High Sierra have the same problem.

How can I revert back to the previous version (non creative cloud) or get my key to work again.

I purchased it a few years back via Amazon in German Language. I never registered it before, thats correct.


Thanks for the information, Sven.  Odd usually German language shows as DE and not D. 

If you used the installation files referenced in message #6 of Lightroom 5.71 OSX invalid serial number  then please be aware the included security certificate is no longer valid.  New installation files for Lightroom 5.7.1 are available at Download Photoshop Lightroom which includes the updated security certificates.

I would strongly recommend you remove the version you installed.  If you feel that you have implemented the steps listed in Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite then please contact chat support at Contact Customer Care so that the Lightroom serial number can be reviewed and a new one issued if necessary.

Hi Johane,

We're really sorry for all the trouble. You need to sign out from Lightroom CC and enter your serial number to convert it into a standalone product. Please refer the following article for step by step instructions:  How to convert a Lightroom CC trial version to licensed Lightroom 6 copy

Hello,

same issue here as it seems. I got a LR5.0 license since upgrade to 5.7.1 the LR telling me invalid license number I should contact support. I've used the step by step instruction above already.

I tried to contact your support via chat, no joy - even if I stayed for 1h in the session.

I tried another chat session, same thing.

How can this issue be fixed?
