I have Photoshop CC, InDesign CC, and Lightroom CC installed, and updates generally work. I also have PS6 and ID6 on my machine, but the updates always fail. Any advice? Thanks.

Dhabercom2 do you receive any specific error messages when attempting to apply the update?  If not then I would recommend reviewing the installation log files for the update.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific error messages you discover to this discussion.

Thanks for the advice, Jeff. I will dig deeper and follow the link you provide.

Meanwhile, here are the error messages:

Errors encountered during installation (U44M1P7)

"more details" leads to a large table of historical updates. The current log is

Adobe Extension Manager CS6 6.0.8 12-18-2014.log.gz

That file opens to this error statement:

There is a problem with the expansion destination. The destination folder "/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers" is currently write-protected. Please select another destination.

Do you think I should manually un-protect the named folder, or would that open a can of worms?
