Updating Creative Cloud, Error 1002

I am in need of downloading premiere pro yet my creative cloud needs to update first. However it will not update and is quoting an "error 1002".... What do i do??

Creative Cloud desktop app failed to install (Error code:1002)

p.s. if you need to uninstall your cc desktop app:

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

No I'm not going to do that. It is up to Adobe to fix the problem not me. If not, they have breached the terms and conditions of my contract with them and I expect termination of plan with no penalty.
