Updating CS5 on Mojave

Found out how to update CS5 components in Mojave!

Update your updater from https://supportdownloads.adobe.com/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774

Then download the components such as photoshop 12.0.4 update or Adobe Player for Embedding 3.1. All of the updates will install using the default updater except APE and XMP Panels. You must run the installer from the terminal window still. Open up the update dmg and show the contents to find the adobepatchinstaller and run that from the terminal window. Finally all of my cs5 components are uptodate! Why adobe doesn't have an option to update the updater! I don't know if CS6 has this problem either because I don't own CS6. CS4 does't ever show components out of date. So it might be just CS5?

Adobe removed old links from public view https://theblog.adobe.com/changes-to-creative-cloud-download-availability

    -Also read https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/downloaded-older-app.html

    -And https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-downloaded-file-app.html

    -OR... Go to https://www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html

-click on the Chat bot on the bottom right hand corner of the first screen

--the chat bot is the circle with a funny looking box with 3 dots inside

-click on Downloading or Installing, then type Agent

Do NOT let the support agent tell you to come to the forums for help... no user in a public forum has access to Adobe's internal links, you MUST obtain the program and update links from Adobe support

AND when you finally do have a download link, be sure to copy every file you download to an external drive (or 2 or 3) so you never have to hunt for download links if they are moved again... also make a text file containing ALL of your serial numbers and copy that file as well

For cs2,cs3 and cs4 one needs to turn the computer clock back to sometime in 2008/2009, disable auto updating of said clock and then the updater should work. The reason for this is adobe let the security certificates expire that are related to the updater.

Don't forget to set the clock back to current time after completing the updates.

I've only got cs4 and cs3 and the cs3 is the offline activation one you get from entering your serial into the website for the special version. I'll test it out on both. The updater runs, it just says no updates available, for cs4. The cs3 offline activation mode says no internet available so you might be right about that one.
