Updating Lightroom to 6.13

Hi,

I purchased Lightroom 6.0 last year. I now have a new laptop. I've installed on here, but the version sticks at 6.0.

I have been to the downloads page (Download Photoshop Lightroom ) and collected various updates, but the setup.zip files are always invalid :

Windows cannot open the folder. The compressed (zipped) folder is invalid

I managed to open one with 7-zip , but then get this error when I try to run AdobePatchInstaller

Lightroom CC (2015.12) / 6.12

There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M2P26

How do I successfully apply an update (my camera Sony Alpha 6300 is not supported in 6.0)

If I select Updates from within lightroom it was saying I am up to date (but version is stuck at 6.0)

There was an icon on the desktop for the Adobe application manager. I clicked on that and now it wants me to upgrade to the CC version

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks!

You only need to have 6.0 installed, then install the 6.14 update patch as it contains all the preceding updates from 6.0.1 onward.

Cleanup/delete all the setup.zip files you've been downloading, then download just the 6.14 setup.zip.

Wait for the download to finish, then extract (or copy/paste) its contents to a newly created folder on your hard drive, which should contain a payloads folder and an AdobePatchInstaller.exe.

Once the unzipping has finished without errors, click down into that new folder, not into the zip, and double-click the AdobePatchInstaller.exe.

    Thanks!

    This was the correct answer.

In my case, once I had downloaded the setup.zip update file for 6.14, I then had to extract its contents using WinZip

Just clicking on the file gave an Invalid file message, and although I could open it  with 7-zip, when I tried to extract from there it reported an error in the payload folder

Once I'd extracted successfully using WinZip I could apply the update as described above
