Question

updating Photoshop CS5??? Failure to download the updates.???

When I try to update  Photoshop CS5, (which it had automatically told me to do!)  I went thru the process of downloading updates to Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0; Photoshop 12.0.4 update; Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 update and Adobe Bridge CS5 4.0.5 update -- all of which the automatic updating app told me to download, it went through the motions of downloading them and then told me "Unable to install.  There was an error downloading the update."  and then told me to contact TechSupport which, because it's an older version, apparently I cannot get help from them.

I ran this three times with the same result.

I'm on a limited budget so I cannot currently afford to upgrade to the latest versions.

What do you suggest?

Thank you.

You have to update it individually. Don't update from the software, but go to Adobe site to do it.  I tried to update all together, but it failed.  It works when I update it one by one.  Here is the link if you want to know how to do it: Solution to updating in Adobe CS5

My computer crashed, so I had to reload my CS5.  I can't read the raw files from my camera until I download the camera raw update, and I have the same problem as you with downloading the updates for CS5.  Adobe are not interested in CS5 users, they just want to sell Creative Cloud.  I tried the chat line, and technical support; no joy, it is 'company policy' to direct all such queries to the forum.   Adobe are being rather short-sighted; I like their products, but their customer care is terrible.  I would go to a competitor if there was one, and never use adobe again. I won't buy Creative Cloud on principle. Any one else feel the same?   If you find out how to download updates Hanoch I should love to know!  And does anyone know if the updates are even available?

I forgot to add: I'm using a new HP laptop with LOTS of memory and Windows 8.1 installed.
