If you upgrade mac OS, you can expect all your old apps to stop working, so you also need to upgrade them. The current Photoshop Elements is version 2022. I think it may still have some issues on Monterey though.

Is this the only solution? Of some 20 or so Apps that I use regularly this is the ONLY ONE which does not work straight away orafter a few simple, free tweeks!! It appears that I cannot merely upgrade, but have to purchase new again, despite having my perfectly adequate software rendered imperative through no fault of my own! Why was I not warned before upgrading my OS that this was likely to happen?? This is outrageous; there are a number of free alternatives nowadays that are perfectly adequate for my simple amateur photographic needs, so if there is nothing better on offer Adobe will lose a loyal customer, and will ensure maximum bad publicity through my media contacts!

Adobe did not do anything to your version 14 to make it stop working, you upgraded your operating system to one that will not work with old programs... this is Apple's fault for not maintaining compatibility
