Upgrade install problems

I own CS3 and can't get it installed on new computer. Had previously upgraded from CS, then to CS2. Got serial number from Adobe website, but that doesn't help either.  Stuck in AI Upgrade Check. Please advise.

    New computer = Win8 = not compatible. It's as simple as that - unless you can tell us that your setup doesn't fit this formula and provide more information.

    New computer = Win7 w/ plenty of ram = can't install.

    Get's stuck at serial number entry.

    Need advice on steps to get this working pls

    Do you have any other Adobe software installed on your computer?  Did you migrate any of your files, settings, or applications to this new Windows 7 computer?
