Upgrade Lightroom 5->6 standalone: downloaded on a 64bits system (my desktop) - how to get a 32bits version in order to install on my laptop (which is 32bits) as it was possible with LR5 ?

There is no 32 bit version of Lightroom 6. It is 64 bit only.

Tks - my only real problem is the lack of compatibility between LR6 catalog and LR5 catalog - is there any possibility to convert a LR6 catalog to LR5 catalog ?

A smug and unhelpful pair pf replies. I'm in the same situation having upgraded to LR6 on my desktop machine and then a couple of months later in preparing for a trip abroad I discover that there's no 32bit version. I have a Lenovo T60p which I believe has the last of the 4:3 displays on a laptop but its graphics are restricted to 32bit OS support. Maybe there are no photographers at Adobe who take pictures in portrait mode.

It's all very well for the incredibly rich, profitable and complacent Adobe to idly make such a decree, but I feel very let-down.
