Upgrade to CS6 Failing

I have a Creative Cloud membership, but I also have CS6. I think  the CS6 is under a different Adobe ID to the CC. I tried to unify the IDs years ago but was told its not possible.

Now my CC offers me CS6 upgrades which download but won't apply. The overarching message I get is "Update Failed Errors encountered during submission (U44M1P7). There is a full log available too.

I've looked online for update to download but can't see them. How can I update my CS6?

Thanks again, John. It seems like this facility has been left to wither on the vine. The latest update it has for CS6 is 13.05. I'm on 13.06.

CS6 is from 2012 and is End of Life... meaning no more updates, ever

If you want to keep using CS6 you will need to lock your Mac operating system

Also, if you do stop your Cloud subscription, there are extra steps to keep using CS6

I've got this person asking for my serial number on direct message. 'She' signs 'herself' off "Thanks & Regards The Team Adobe".  Am I right to be suspicious?

you've probably already converted your cs6 to subscription which will be problematic if (and when) you terminate your cc subscription so you should secure your cs6 serial number if you think you might want to reinstall your cs6 perpetual license in the future.

only after that, do the following:

uninstall cs6 using the uninstallers.

use your cc desktop app to install cs6.

Thanks for your comment kglad.

Is there a simple way to see if I've converted to subscription?

How do I secure my serial number?

Could you explain the point of uninstalling and reinstalling?

Many thanks

>How do I secure my serial number?

Lost information - see reply #1 in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2008767

- page has links to programs to find an installed serial number in Mac or Windows

- includes link to your Adobe account to check for registered serial numbers

- when you find your serial number(s) write them down and put in a desk drawer
