upgrading Photoshop from 7.0

I bought a macbook air and now I cannot install PS 7 because it no longer supports PowerPC applications.  What to do?  How can I upgrade without going broke?

There is no upgrade path from Photoshop 7. It's far too old.

You can either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements 12 (if that suits your needs).

Or join the Adobe Cloud and pay the monthly fee.
