Question

Upgrading to Acrobat Pro DC from a CS6 Suite

Hello,

I own a license of CS6 Design & Web Premium which contains Acrobat Pro (X). Now I bought a new Notebook running on macOS Sierra and I would like to run solely  Acrobat Pro DC on this machine (I intend not to use PS, ID,... any longer on the new machine, due to Java restrictions). Can I use my CS6 serial number to install Acrobat Pro DC (buying the 'full' upgrade version, not the subscription plan)?

Hope, you can help.

Thanks,

RD

No, a CS6 serial number alone will not activate a newer versions

If the non-Cloud version you want to buy HAS an upgrade price, you would install the new program and enter your new serial number, and then enter your old serial number when asked for a qualifying program

Be VERY SURE that the version you have now (part of a suite) ACTUALLY IS a qualifying program before you buy new, or you will have an upgrade version that will not install because your old serial number does not qualify

    Hello John,

thanks for your reply. Seems that I will have to opt for a subscription plan then...

    Best,
