uploading projects

I've recently taken advantage of the adobe Portfolio app, that allows you to create a website domain. great! I was uploading my past shorts and one of them is too large. I tried uploading to my creative cloud account so I could maybe link the site to that, but it again was too large a file. The file is like 1GB, not that big, but any suggestions on how to upload it? I repeatedly get the error message '

Error could not be uploaded - [UNEXPECTED] XHR failure

'

I just want a place where people can view all my work. should I upload to YouTube and post the link in my website? thanks for any feedback!

When I look at Adobe Portfolio, it seems to be aimed at photographers, rather than video makers. So videos would go on a video web site such as Youtube or Vimeo, depending whether you prefer paying for storage or putting up with adverts. Error message is pretty bad though!
