Use of Education version of Creative Suite for not-for-profit in Australia

Hi folks,

Can anyone offer a contact point or process for using an uninstalled education version of Creative Suite 5.5 for a registered small not-for-profit in Australia?

Creative Suite is currently not available as a download from ConnectingUp.org.au (which is a central point for purchase of discounted software, and I have registered our organisation) and I have been advised that Creative Suite will not be available at least to the end of the month. To avoid a double purchase I was hoping that I can use the academic version I purchased, and not have to wait for availability and download time.

    Not sure what you are saying. You can install as a trial and it will run for 30 days without limitations on functionality. Otehrwise you'd have to run the normal S&T verification process, but naturally, if you are not eligible and can't provide valid enrollment papers of a qualifying educational institution, it won't go through. This is a paradox that can't be solved. The serial number would have had to be obtained by whoever purchased the edu package back then. As it stands now, beyond the 30 day trail the package is no use to you - unless you know something you haven't told us yet.

    Thanks for reply and interest Mylenium.

    Yes I can open and run for 30 days the academic version, but want to keep it wrapped up to offer to someone else, if I can't use an academic licence for our not-for-profit.

    The version from Connecting Up is a download, and another of couple of hundred bucks that I may be able to avoid, and use a version I can install from DVD's that sits unopened in the shelf and know that I can activate it as not-for-profit.

    Johnathon are you looking for a location to download Creative Suite 5.5 from?  I am sorry but your original inquiry is not very clear on what you are looking to accomplish.

    Also just to add one thing education licenses of Adobe products can not be transferred to another individual.  You can find more details at Transfer an Adobe product license - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html.
