Use of Licensing of CS6 in our US based company's India office

Hello,

What is the recommendation of acceptable use in licensing regarding a copy of CS6 we recently purchased here in the US for our Mumbai office?  Can we just give them use and have them not register the produ ct? Or is the IP address traced and the product denied? Any similar situation information would be appreciated.

Activations are independent from purchase. A valid license will activate no matter what the place in the world. For all Adobe knows, people could be doing this with their laptops while travelling all the time and it would be counter-productive to prevent that. The only active IP tracking and forwarding happens in the store and that's the only issue I see - you may not be able to manually register anything on teh web page, but it should work via the built-in Adobe ID panels during install. and of course this may pose an issue with future upgrades, but I guess you'll have to cross that bridge when you come to it...
