Question

Users say Adobe Creative Cloud rewrote hosts file to detect installed app - why are you guys doing this?

Here is the Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/1sb0zqn/users_say_adobe_creative_cloud_rewrote_hosts_file/

Top comment says: That's malware behavior

Another top comment says: The way Adobe installs software is malware-like. It gets into the guts of your system. Only a clean reinstall of macOS wipes all traces of it.

And one more: I ended up doing a complete wipe and clean MacOS install to rid my system of Adobe. It’s like cancer.

So what is this all about? Why do this?
