Using Adobe Application Manager to Update Desktop Apps?

Hello

I don't know whether it's possible, but can I update the desktop applications I installed via the Adobe Application Manager?

All I see is a list of the programs on the right and either 'Installed' or 'Install'. Nowhere can I see a list of potential updates available or apply them.

However there are updates available, e.g. I'm on Lightroom 4.1 and whenever I start it it does tell me that there's an update available. However following the link just takes me to an external installer program to download and run. Isn't there a unified way to see/apply any available updates in the Adobe Application Manager? I've updated the AAM a day or two ago as well so I'm pretty sure I'm on the latest version.

I'm using Creative Cloud (CS6) on a 64bit Windows 7 machine.

Thank you

Tobias

Tobias the Adobe Application Manager will automatically detect updates for most Adobe Applications.  In general though you can ensure you have the latest version by going to Help>Updates from the application you are wishing to update.  Photoshop Lightroom for example uses a seperate update mechanism from the Adobe Application Manager.

Thank you Jeff

I don't mind if the update of Lightroom runs through a separate process, was just wondering cause I thought all updates are managed via the Application Manager. But if I have to update Lightroom separately from that, that's fine too. Good to know that's just how it works (and I'm not missing some setup/pref/config option somewhere)!
