Using Photoshop CS6 and Illustrator CS6 on Mac OS 10.10.5

I have been using Photoshop CS6 and Illustrator CS6 on my old Mac with OS 10.7.5. I got a new Mac with OS 10.10.5 and migrated everything over. However both the Photoshop and the Illustrator stopped working. The Adobe website gave no clue about what I need to do, not even an offer of upgrade at a price. It seems I have to buy and download their could before they tell me anything.

    Migrating Adobe programs typically does not work due to hidden registration files. However, you can install your CS6 Photoshop and Illustrator by downloading the programs directly and installing them using your serial number(s). Take the following steps:

    1. Uninstall the migrated programs: Uninstall Creative Suite  | CS5, CS5.5, CS6
    2. Clean up problem remnants using the cleaner tool: Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
    3. Download a fresh copy of your CS6 programs: Download Creative Suite 6 applications‌ and follow the instructions to install.
