Virus in Photoshop update

My CC Photoshop failed to update. I got a message from BitDefender that says "The file C:\adobeTemp\ETR7343.tmp\1\Application\MPS.dll is infected with Gen:Variant.Ulise.162272. The threat has been successfully blocked, your device is safe." Is this why the install failed?

yes, if your av detects a virus (whether the detection is erroneous or not) it will block the install.

How do I resolve? The virus seems to be coming from the Adobe download. I have run a virus scan and my system was clean. I tried to install again and I got the same error.
