What files contain the Serial Number in Photoshop CS6?

After my Mac OS X crashed, the disc installer directed me to apple's site to reload OS X Yosemite. Yosemite loaded my Adobe apps PS CS6, Br CS6, and Extension Manager CS6 from my external hard drive which had backed it up. When I try to open the app in Macintosh HD > Applications > PS6...I get the error:

Configuration Error

Please uninstall and reinstall

In the Finder App under the Ps CS6 app it shows the Configuration folder, Legal folder, Locales folder, Plug-Ins folder, Presets folder and the Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS6 app.

I can't double click to open the Ps CS6.app without getting the "Configuration Error" In effort to find the Serial Number to enter on the Adobe Site in order to download the Start-Up app.

What folder and where in what folder listed above should I find the Serial Number? I'm having trouble locating it.

Mac Migration and Time Machine DO NOT WORK with Adobe program activations due to hidden registration files

You must install using install files, not copy a backup

Serial numbers are encrypted during install, so someone who might have access to your computer will not be able to see your serial number

Does your serial number show on your account page?

https://www.adobe.com/account.html for serial numbers on your Adobe page... or

    Lost serial # http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html
