Question

What happens to CC if you don't have an internet connection?

I had subscribed to CC software several years ago but switched back to an older permanent license set because I was spending many weeks working in areas of the world were I have only low-bandwidth, intermittent or non-existent internet. The Adobe call center insisted I would not have problems but regularly, the software would stop working while it looked for regular license validation - similar to the way programs like SkyFonts behave. As a designer, these programs are my lifeblood. Now with MOJAVE, the older programs are beginning to give me trouble and APPLE says they will likely not run soon. Does anyone have a solution for me?

Cloud status check 30-or-99 days https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1549838

If an existing install is made unusable by a Mac operating system upgrade work through the below steps

HOWEVER... future Mac operating systems will not run 32bit programs at all

The most obvious question not answered by the Cloud Status Check - 99 days is: is the check-in on Day 99 only? In other words, if you have sketchy internet, do you have to mark Day 99 in your calendar? How do you know? If the answer is: as long as you are connected, it is 99 days from the last moment of connection (or some other interval) my question again is: how do you know? What quality of internet is required?

My experience of CC does not accord with this. I found CC InDesign for example, acting up after only 10-15 days without internet.

The check is done each time you are connected to the internet. There is only minimal data exchanged between the Adobe servers and your computer. But if you really have a very bad internet connection you will have different problems with the computer updates. CC license check will be a minor one.
