When trying to start LR from CC icon on Mac, get 'Lightroom quit unexpectedly' error

Can run the original install of LR v6 from it's own icon on the dock but when I try to run the one with updates (v 6.3) from the Adobe CC icon, I just get the 'Lightroom quit unexpectedly' error.

If I check for updates when running 6.0, it says it's up to date (and obviously it's not).

Any suggestions?

to start, uninstall the lr 6.3 that's problematic.

restart your computer and make sure lr6 still works.

then check your cc desktop app to see what it says about lr 6.

Thanks kglad - that worked. When I restarted lr 6 and told it to look for updates, it got 6.3 ok and it seems to be working fine.
