Question

When will all CC apps be ready for the new only 64-Bit macOS Catalina?

Hi responsible Adobe CC employees,

it won't be long before macOS Catalina is released.

Will the Creative Cloud programs be ready in time for this new macOS? Will all CC Apps be 64-bit capable at this time or will users have to expect a later adaptation?

In case you haven't come across it yet, Adobe is keeping a running list of the status of the Mac apps.

You'll just have to wait like the rest of us for the official public announcement this fall.

Based on history, Adobe works closely with Apple and Microsoft to help ensure a smooth transition.   Personally, I never upgrade until the major bugs have been identified and patched.   I just received a major MS update this morning and so far everything is running OK.  But that wasn't the case a few weeks ago when the 1903 updates were first rolled out.   Sometimes waiting a month to 6 weeks can make all the difference.

Hi

Apple has announced that Catalina will be released in the Fall. They have not given us a specific date.

Adobe typically releases their new versions in the Fall during Adobe MAX.

This is a user-to-user forum, btw, with occasional input from staff. Anyone who knows the answer to your question would be under NDA and could not give an official answer.

Adobe employees do not comment Adobe's release plans except if there is a public announcement. Just expect Adobe to port their software to Catalina as long as porting is necessary. As of my knowledge there are only a few programs of the CC eco system in 32bits.

Do not expect, however, to have older programs to be modified.
