Whenever I click on setup, it just says "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue."

I have a cd for cs4 design standard, and I have installed it on my macbook pro. Now, i got a new iMac and want to install it on there, but it doesn't have a cd drive, so I first tried sharing the disk, and then when I clicked on setup, it said something to the lines of this: "can't open because file might be damaged." and then I tried to put it on a usb and then do the same thing, but, even though it got further than the sharing disc, it still didn't open and said "Setup has encountered and error and cannot continue." I don't understand what the problem is, it is opening fine on my macbook pro, but it does not open on the iMac. Please reply ASAP!
