I would like to download the photo shop/Lightroom editor for my photography. I have a mac os sierra 10-12-6

You will need a subscription to the "Photography Plan (20Gb)"

And an upgrade of your Operating system- 10.14 or later!

Thanks for the info. I have inherited this computer and for some reason I cannot upgrade....Can you suggest another photo editing program I can download on the mac os sierra 10.12.6?

Adobe's photo editing apps are powerful tools that run at the leading edge. Need training too. But there are many many other apps of all sorts of quality and all sorts of difficulty. Not really the place to find out about rivals though...
