Question

Why 99% PE13 download, then "unexpectedly quits"?

Sincerely hope someone can help me with the following problem.

I purchased Photoshop Elements 13 in downloadable version and have been trying to install it on my 2014 MacBook Pro 15" Retina the entire day.

Basically, the Adobe Applications Manager downloads up to 99% and then "unexpectedly quits". All the time every time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times, used Adobe cleaner, etc.

Key messages in report may be the following:

Crashed Thread:        0  Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Exception Type:        EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

Exception Codes:       KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000004

Can anybody explain to me what's happening or help me?

Having just spent a 100 Swiss Francs (around 90 USD) and not being able to download and install is frustrating to say the least.

Many thanks in advance,

M. Stahlhofer

what is the file size of the dmg that you downloaded and are trying to install?

if that's the expected file size, check your install logs for the first error - Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC

    File size is 1.96 GB.

Funny thing is that I managed to install Elements 13 via a new user account on my MacBook without a hitch. But when I try and install it on my main Admin account, it crashes at 99%. So there seems to be a problem with my main Admin account?
