Why all the hoops

So all I want to do is make a mall change on a pdf.  Can't edit a pdf without a paid version of Acrobat.  Offered a free trial for 7 days.  OK, I'll go for it. Go thru quick registarion and payment screens and then the fun begins. I'm on a fast computer on a fast internet link.  The install of Acrobat Pro DC took forever.  Makes me hate this company.
