Why are application updates such large files, and take so long to download and install?

In my experience with other enterprise applications, updates are small, and just contain the update.  I get the feeling that when I update a CC app, it downloads the entire new version.  This really makes me hesitate to update when there's a new version.

Cullen you can utilize the information in your download logs to optimize your connection to the Adobe download server locations.  You can find more details on how to locate the download logs at Error downloading and installing Creative Cloud application.

Jeff, it's not a connection issue.  The updates are just huge.  In any event, this is simply me providing feedback.  Thanks for the replies!

Cully depending upon the Adobe Creative software, and the update mechanism implemented by the engineering team for that application, will affect the update behavior.  Thank you for the feedback.  We continue to evaluate the best and most consistent method to provide updates for the many Adobe Creative software titles included with a Creative Cloud Membership.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff.  It honestly doesn't seem to depend on the software.  I have about 10 CC applications installed, and they all do this.  Every so often I'll open the CC app manager, and there are 8 updates, and I know it will take several hours to get them all done.  I rarely have time for it, so I just do it every couple months.
