Why can't I install CS6 anymore?

I'm finding CC is just too slow for me.  CS6 is still the better option for my work environment.  My computer died last week and so I'm trying to get a new machine up and running.  The problem is two-fold.

1. I can't move the CC lic to a new machine because I can't remove the old lic from the now dead machine.  How do I cancel one lic and transfer it to a new machine?  I thought there would be a way to do this online.

2. When I installed by CS6 Adobe wants to consider it CC and it is not.  How do I install my CS6 software?  My CS6 was an  upgrade from CS5.5 and has worked property.  Now I can't load any previous versions.

Thanks
