Why did the After Effects CS6 upgrade price just double?

Anyone know why this just happened? Just a few months ago I could get the upgrade for $175 (standard price, not on sale). Now that I've saved up enough to buy it they double the price on me. I'm hoping that's just a typo that will be fixed soon. It seems odd that any company would try to double the price of a two and a half year old product.

Here's the direct link to the product:

    What are you upgrading from?

    Upgrade from CS5.5 is $175

    Upgrade from CS5 is $349

There has been no change in price that I'm aware of.

Ah, I added it to my cart, went to check out, then there was an option to select which version you're upgrading from. They updated the way you purchase a license so I was still expecting to see the CS5.5 pricing before going to checkout. Here's a snapshot of what I saw that made me think the price doubled:

It lists both CS5 and CS5.5 costing $349.00. Thanks for letting me know the prices didn't actually go up. I didn't think to start the checkout process. Lesson learned. Thanks again!

That's certainly a potentially confusing checkout process.

Adobe is good at doing that now and again. Constantly tinkering. Sometimes they improve it. Sometimes not.

    Glad you got it sorted.
