Question

Why do I get {"error":"invalid_credentials"} ?

The Creative Cloud app (the one that can be pinned to the menu bar) shows me all the apps I have access to. If there is an upgrade pending there's a link to "What's new" and if not there's one to "Learn more" in the drop-down menu. If I try either of these links all I get is one line of text in the browser saying {"error":"invalid_credentials"}. Other than that, everything works fine. I can download apps and update them and go to my account. However, I really would like to know what this  {"error":"invalid_credentials"} means and how to get rid of it.

I tried a chat with Adobe support but the person I chatted with obviously didn't have a clue about my problem. She just thought I wanted a link to the tutorials. Which I don't need or can find by myself.

Hi Ellen,

If i understand you clearly when you click on the links provided in Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app it takes you ti the browser and doesn't open the desired page instead gives you an error, I would recommend you to reset the browser settings and clear the cache and turn off your anti-virus internet security along with any browser security add-on if installed for the time being and try again.

Let us know if this helps.

I reset the browser (Chrome). I don't use any antivirus but I turned off Little Snitch, just in case. Same thing. I also tried (before asking about this problem) with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome Canary. This last browser has the absolute minimum extensions installed. Same thing with all of them. I'm using MacOS Sierra 10.12.6.
