Why do I get this message?Error 1935 An error occurred during the installation of assembly component

I get "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component" when I attempt to install Elements 9 on my new computer-Compaq Windows7.  Why?  I talked to tech on phone and on chat and neither were helpful.  The Tech wanted $100 to try to figure it out.  I'm not paying that to install!!!  I need this program now to get 3 different projects completed ASAP.  I just bought Lightroom, but I guess I will wait to try to install it- might just return it.  Can anybody help?????

Pat, thanks for your reply.  Unfortunately it wouldn't say what was failing.  But,I figured it out with the help of a friend.  I simply removed the Norton software that came with the computer-brand new computer- and it loaded fine.  I thought I had fully disabled the program before attempting to load Elements, but apparently that wasn't enough.
