Why does my direct download of Design Standard CS6 say " Disk image couldn't be opened.

REason stated: NOT RECOGNIZED. I am using OS10.6.8

There could be couple of possibilities for the issue :-

1) Permission issues :-Open your Applications folder, then Utilities. Open Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and click Repair Disk Permissions.

2) Some software conflict :- Restart the machine in Safe mode and then check.

3) Damaged Downloaded file :- in which case you have to download the file again and check
