Question

why doesn't AIR auto-update

Secunia PSI tells me that Adobe AIR is updating, but the update doesn't proceed automatically. It's been "updating" for a week. What do I need to do to get it to actually do the update?

The reply doesn't answer the 1st part of the original question. I obviously can do a manual update.

The question is "why does it not automatically update?"

actually, it does answer your question, "What do I need to do to get it to actually do the update?"

as for why it doesn't automatically update, i don't know and obviously no one can know without more information.

What part of "automatically" is in the meaning of "manual"? I very clearly asked to get IT to AUTOMATICALLY update ITSELF. Doing it manually is neither something IT (i.e.; Adobe) does for me nor is it automatic. I was asking if there was something I needed to do to ENABLE the automatic updates it is SUPPOSED to be able to do FOR me, like all my other Adobe products. It is a waste of my time to keep having Secunia tell me that AIR is "automatically" updating when it sits there for weeks undone, then have to do it myself.

PS. I decided to remove AIR from my system.
