Question

why is Adobe Application manager open in dock

Now overtime I open Lightroom 5 in Yosemite, the icon for Adobe Application Manager (AAM) is open in the dock. Clicking it does nothing. Interface is not seen. Stays there even after Lightroom quits.

even if I right click and quit it does not go away.

Hi Kvora711

I would suggest to use the Adobe uninstaller or the Adobe Clean tool to remove the older Adobe Application manager.

Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

Free Creative Cloud | Download Adobe Creative Cloud free trial

Then install the updated Creative Cloud

Thanks

Same thing with "the updated Creative Cloud". This is stupid.

Same issue here. There's no need for a background process like AAM to be constantly hogging up the dock. There is no option to hide it from the dock and it just sits there continuously. It doesn't even respect the OS X design guidelines for how apps should behave. 'Quit' does nothing. Great going Adobe *applause*
