I can not use my creative cloud because it keeps trying to install an update and fails.  How do I solve this?

Correct answer Rajashree Bhattacharya

To fix this issue each time a new version (Windows 7 64-bit) is released is as follows :

1. Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop

2. Download and run the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool (against Creative Cloud only)

3. Manually delete the Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud folder under Program Files (x86) - I noticed that sometimes there are multiple folders with that name ending with a different version number. Anyway, the Cleaner Tool doesn't clean very much, apparently, since it doesn't even remove the program folder itself.

4. Manually clean the registry from all references to Creative Cloud Desktop

5. Run CCleaner

6. Reboot

7. Download and run the Creative Cloud installer before running anything else.

if you are still facing this issue kindly let us know, so that we can try to fix it up for you.

Process to be killed would be.

Sure, I certainly understand  .

You can enable Hidden Admin account and try to launch.

Still same issue?

Try uninstall and reinstall from Hidden Admin account.

Steps to Enable Hidden Admin account :

1) First you’ll need to open a command prompt in administrator mode by right-clicking and choosing “Run as administrator”

Copy and Right and paste i  the below command  in Command Prompt and press enter key:

net user administrator /active:yes

Then restart the computer and login to user account named Administrator :

Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder and if any Adobe Creative Cloud backup is there , delete that one too.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------

Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.

I try to install cc with hidden account, but the same things happend.

I think, in the first install anything was going wrong. For what, I don't

know.

So, in the Adobe CC-map and in the common-map for Adobe, I was looking for

all the maps who were created between 21 and 24 april. All that maps I

delete.

Then I run regedit and delete all related adoberegisters.

Then I use ccleaner to clean up the registers.

Then I was installing Adobe Creative Cloud.

And now I 'm a happy man: all the apps are installed and were working

correct.

Last but not least: Brucegovn thanks a million for your patient and support!

Before proceed with further steps.

If it okay for you .  Create new Admin account and check whether you can launch the CC Desktop or not?

Still unable to launch, let me know.

Follow below steps :

1.  Click the Start button and then select Control Panel.

2. Click on User Accounts and Family Safety, and then click User Accounts.

3.. Click Manage another account. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

4. Click Create a new account.

5. Type the name as like Test , click an account type and select Administrator and then click Create Account.

Restart the computer and log on the newly Created Test admin account and  try to launch CC app.
