Why is InDesign CC2019 demanding I sign-in to Adobe when I re-start InDesign?

What is it with Adobe these days? Why so much intrusion? Demanding my login and password after I've rebooted my Mac Pro / Mojave and started-up InDesign CC2019 is unacceptably intrusive.

Bad enough I have to put up with monthly rental fees and expanding numbers of "sniffers" showing up in my Activity Monitor (yes, I'm monitoring you, too, Adobe.) The constant intrusions of "Typekit" and "Adobe Stock" and demands for logins and passwords are unacceptable. I've got paying work to do here.

I've been a licensed user of Adobe applications since Illustrator 88. Can anyone explain why trying to drive away long-time users is an integral part of Adobe's new business model?

Sargentrock2, sorry for the repeated requests to sign-in, and I can understand your frustration for having to re-enter the sign-in information.  You can find steps to take to resolve this behavior at https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/adobe-sign-in-loop.html.

"The constant intrusions of "Typekit" and "Adobe Stock"...  are unacceptable."

Unless I actually need it for something, I keep Creative Cloud desktop app closed.

In my settings (gear icon), I have everything turned off as well.

Me too. Unfortunately, I'm a book designer, have been since the early days of Quark, so... I'm using InDesign CC daily for hours on end. If I don't need it, it's off. Indy is the only CC app I rent. My old CS6 Photoshop & Illustrator work just fine for my needs (after I found the secret trick that stops Adobe from forcing them to quit a few seconds after you try to boot them.) I also do a fair amount of work using the current version of Quark, generally revisions of very old client files going back to Quark 3 and 4. The rumors of Quark's demise are an old story, the current owners are the programming team in India who bought Quark outright, which they'd been supporting for years, when it was on the ropes.

Jeff Wright - thanks.

"set permissions for both the SLStore and the Adobe PCD folders" worked.
