Why is my Photoshop Elements 8 purchased in 2010, not recognised by the serial number when I try to install on my new laptop?

See if any of the following help.  If it has been years since you dealt with the serial, you might try the last first.

Error "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Creative Suite

Error unable to validate serial number | CS6
