Chrome books are cool and inexpensive but really limited. They are not really like other computers which run Mac or Windows. You can only run apps designed for Android phone and tablet, on some Chromebooks only. Otherwise they don’t run apps at all, but only web services in Chrome. No Adobe apps are made for it.

So forgive me being the outlier but I  have a Chromebook and I use Adobe Lightroom . You can't down load it but you can use it on line . I simply have a tab on Chrome, hit it and my Adobe account comes up opening in Lightroom . Sure you are dependant upon wifi , but I have jiust travelled around Japan and Costa Rica accessing my account on line and happliy upoloading and processing my images. The joy is that I can do exactly the same on my Ipad so depending what works at the time I can access my Adobe account wherever and on whatever i want . I really dont get "the Abobe doesnt work on Chromebook " stuff I have seen . My Chromebook is a flying machine - i5 processor  256 GB of local storage  and of course !tb in the sky with Adobe . You dont get an app, but you can access this via the web , do your work and download the Images  to your hard drive . For every " Computer says no" issue there is usually a solution . Steve
