Will not install - says "Newer Version Already Installed"

Did your laptop come with Windows pre-installed so all you had to do was register?

Vendors create a master image used to pre-install on hundreds/thousands of computers

That master image is not always going to be up to date with all components

I found a setup folder under "{AC76BA86-7AD7-1033-7B44-AC0F074E4100}". It had setup.exe, 3/12/2019 and Acroread.msi, 17/3/2015. Running setup.exe worked. Have no idea why the msi file is dated 2015 as the laptop was brand new last year.
