Windows 7 -> Windows 8 upgrade - Application Manager lost status of installed apps

So I have a bunch of apps like Photoshop, Dreamweaver etc. installed. After upgrading from win7 to win8 Adobe's Application Manager shows "Install" with every software except Lightroom 4.1 (which should be 4.3..).

Is there any way to make the AAM to recognize that I have the apps already installed? I don't fancy uninstalling, downloading & reinstalling everything just to get the apps to show as "Installed" in AAM.

Thanks in advance!

You can try reinstalling the Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773.  I am not sure if I would advise this though if the applications are already working properly.

If you are concerned that you may not see future updates you can go to one of the applications and select Help>Updates.  Once the updater component of the Adobe Application Manager opens you can see which applications are detected to check for updates by clicking on Preferences.

Thanks for the helpful answer

I was mainly concerned about updates. From Help->Updates AAM shows that my programs are covered, so missing updates won't be hopefully a problem. The apps seem to be working OK so I'll just leave everything as it is.

Excellent yes I would recommend leaving it alone for now.  There will likely be a later update for AAM which will be installed that will end up correcting your current difficulties when it is applied.
