Question

Windows cannot find after install

I have done the following on Windows 10 Pro:

Disabled my antivirus.

I downloaded Adobe Creative cloud and installed it using Administrator privileges.

Waited for it to start up after install, but it never did.

I went to the start menu and clicked on the shortcut. Nothing happened. After this I right clicked and selected "Run as Administrator."

The following error popped up, "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program File (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I went to the file location Changed "Creative Cloud.exe" to "Adobe Creative Cloud.exe" which allowed the program to launch.

The program now launches but now I have an infinite loading screen.

I went to services and processes and restarted the ones named Adobe.
After this I tried to restart my computer.
I also tried to going to C:\Users\mtjea\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE and it brought me to the log in screen. At this point I typed in my credentials and I was set back into the infinite loop.

I tried to reinstall and I had the original problem/error: "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program File (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I also tried to use the adobe creative cleaner tool as well. I tried to reinstall afterwards and was given the same error code: : "Windows cannot find 'C:\Program File (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Yotemoya, sorry you are facing problems launching the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application.  Please begin by implementing the steps listed in How to fix the "Failed to install" error when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app .  This includes renaming both OOBE folders.  From your original post, you only renamed the User specific version of the OOBE folder but did not modify \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE folder.

Hello Jeff,

Thank you for the time and effort in this matter. Unfortunately, after completing the steps below (the suggested steps by you) there was no change. Is there another solution for this issue?

  2. Rename the following OOBE folders to OOBE.old:

Windows
