Would CS-6 Prod Prem. work any slower if loaded on a dedicated HDD
Aloha,
I have a custom built PC for Video Editing. I previously ran CS-4 on this machine before I upgraded stuff to get ready for CS-6. The system has a AMD2+ PHENON QUAD CORE 2.3 GHz CPU, 8GB RAM, Radeon HD6750 vc. The OS is WIN7-SP1 loaded on a dedicated 60GB SDD, with 15GB space remaining (a primary partition of 100MB resides here also which may or may not be part of the remaining space). My data, unrelated to anything Adobe sits on 200GB HDD , I have a 250GB HDD to use for cache and preview files, a 500GB HDD to use for CS-6 Individual Program Files, and a 1TB HDD to use for all source video and pictures.
I'm concerned with the remaining free disc space of 15GB on the SDD where WIN7 resides, when CS-6 is such a space hog hoarding 10.5 GBs leaving approx 4.5GB's left for future use. I'm wanting to know if I load CS-6 on a partition on the 250GB HDD and use the remainder of it for cache and preview files would it run more slowly? I only see the alternative to load it onto the SDD with WIN7 and hope for the best.
Does anyone have any thoughts???
Mahalo-n-aloha...
