DW CC 2014 Server Busy

Every time I launch DW CC 2014 on my Windows 8.1 machine I keep getting a Server Busy message where I can switch to the application or try again. Eventually it goes away but it really delays the start up time on my DW application. I have added DW to the trusted applications list for Kaspersky so I don't think that is the issue. Never had this problem with the previous version of DW CC. Anybody else running into this?

I'm on CS6 (Win 7 64bit) and have this issue for a year. I can go months without a problem, then wham. Usually, it is during a RDS session. Fortunately, most of the time, logging off and back on works. Other than that, I cannot diagnose issue.

I was having the same issue with a fresh install of Dreamweaver CC 2015 on a fresh install of windows 8.1 pro on a brand new machine. Dreamweaver will not load, keeps saying not responding, after a few minutes I end up using the task manager to end task and shut it down.

First thing I did was change the application to run as administrator.

Right click on the executable 'Dreamweaver.exe', go to properties, select compatibility tab, click the button "change settings for all users", then check the box "run this program as administrator".  Click "apply" and then click "Ok"

Seems to have resolved it for me.

Nope. This did not work for me. I am still running Windows 7.It usually comes up after retrying a few times, however, then the program goes to stopped working.

Using DW CC 2015.

Still same old messed up stuff.

I am totally disappointed in Adobe for creating such a piece of crap and dropping ColdFusion support for this product.

Apparently there are too many PHP programmers out there.

Hi David,

If you have a purchased version of Dreamweaver CC 2015, send me your Adobe ID, location, and phone#. We will get in touch with you. Click my picture and use the Message option.

This discussion is now on its 6th leg, and it is becoming difficult for me to track it. I will be creating a separate forum post (Dreamweaver Server Busy message) for discussing this issue.

Meanwhile, to all the people that have a purchased version of Dreamweaver CC, I request the same information over a private message. Send it to me and I will get you in touch our support team.

Thanks,

Preran

Been having the same problem with the update today.  Thought it might be windows 10 but same sluggish behavior in windows 8.1. Multiple reboots and the same thing.  Lightroom kept crashing and not allowing imports, along with the bizarre server busy error.  Realized that everything was slow so I decided to unplug my usb 3.0 card reader and suddenly everything started working.  No crashes and everything seems responsive so far.  No idea why but this worked for me. Been using the reader with lightroom for the past several hours without an error.  Does seem to be a driver conflict, or the reader was sending out junk that was slowing the whole computer down, including doubling the reboot time.

Is there a fix to his issue? I really need to get some work done. I now have DW CC 2015 and it is also a piece of crap.

Still getting the Switch To / Retry / Server Busy dialog.

I have windows 7 professional

I am also getting this message on Windows 7

I'm sorry to say it, but the only thing that worked for me was to install Windows (in my case 8.1) anew - wiping the HDD in the process.

All suggested fixes were temporary for me - in the end I had to resort to reinstalling windows. Luckily this fixed the issue. (Win 8.1 x64).

STILL. I am still having issues with this months and months later. STILL not fixed, So it happens at start up every time as I have 4 hard drives in this desktop. Win8.1 x64. Even worse, if the computer has been sleeping then often when it wakes and I switch to Dreamweaver CC it crashes and I lose whatever is unsaved and have to reopen, with the same super-frustrating start up issues. I usually go to Explorer and open up a folder on each drive but as it remembers them without always spinning up the drive, even this only works part of the time. And when I open Lightroom CC I have similar problems. What is it about your users' frustration level that you don't understand? For the next years I will never trust Adobe to deal with problems the way they should. Reader uninstalled. video processing, I use the opposition. Not even an apology. You come across as yet another cynical American company that can just get away with it because of your semi-monopoly position. You are getting up there with investment banks and Microsoft.

I installed a load of CC updates last week (I don't do it very often) and I've started getting this issue on Windows 8.1 enterprise 64bit with CC subscription.

I have a 500GB drive as my system disk but the laptop I'm using has a 16GB mSATA SSD which is used for boot caching (its a lenovo thing). I've disabled sleep on my drives (as a few others have suggested), without any luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the whole suite without success. I'm looking at flattening my laptop at the moment which I really don't want to do. But I don't suppose there will be a resolution to this issue any time soon seeing as this thread has been open for so long without resolution.

Hi,

Have you tried running Dreamweaver as admin? I did this and it solved it for me.
