Access to Macintosh HD:Users:Me:Documents:WebsiteFolder:style.css was denied Hi folks I'm getting the above message - which means my websites cannot access the CSS file.  I'm not very technical. Can I have suggestions on how to allow access? I would be very grateful. Best wishes David

I have contacted my service provider, Network Solutions (NS), and they worked with me. We got the entire thing matched up and ready to go - but it didn't. For some reason the darn thing won't allow me to transfer pages. The entire access is denied. Either from their, NS, end or Dreamweaver's, my, end. It reads "An FTP error occurred - cannot make contact to host. The remote host cannot be found." Everything should work. The woman at NS confirmed that all the information I have is correct but I still get the same error. Help!

I ran into issues with having edited a default css template in Dw version 18.1.  I got onto the online support to find out if there was a copy of the orginal file that I could over-ride the edited version.  The support guy, apart from taking a fair while to respond, came back with the stock standard advice of 'run a update' but seemed to not understand this simple request; also saying that file was not linked to Dw.In the end I donloaded the latest version, 20.1, and there was the exact same css file that I was after.

Using DW v 20.1 under Windows 10 64-bit, many menu functions are grayed out/nonfunctional. Includes copy, cut, paste, about Dreamweaver, open, close, close all, etc. With a file open and with text selected, this is the status of my Edit menu:I have uninstalled and reinstalled DW. This issue does not occur in other Adobe CC apps. I saw this issue cropped up a bit in 2017 and 2018, but I haven't seen more recent complaints. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi FolksOver many years I have run a weather station and have never been really happy with the display software .My question, is Dreamweaver capable of displaying near realtime weather data which would vary  (refresh) on a regular basis ?I am looking to display on a website paramaters such as wind speed , direction , temperature , humidity , barometric pressure , precipitation etc .I would be looking to display these data in the form of gauges and graphs etc.Several years ago I was using Dreamweaver to create a website so I have some knowledge on creating a site.Any advice would be much appreciated , Thanks.

Hi thereI have to create some course content to be delivered as web pages. I plan to use Dreamweaver and style sheets to keep it really simple. However I have a lot of content to write and compile and I don't believe Dreamweaver is the right tool to write the content in.So I'm looking for past experiences of suitable workflows for managing mutlipage content in one place, and converting it to basic HTML with CSSI have tried copying and pasting from Word into Dreamweaver and this seems to work ok. Linked CSS file will override default styles etc so minimum messing around in Dreamweaver to apply a style. But I'm not keen on Word for writing the content in. Just wondering what experiences people have where you're creating a large hierarchical content piece that is to be converted into single web pages with some kind of Table of Contents. I was wondering if Dreamweaver is even the right tool for this. Copying and pasting page contents seems very clunky and prone to error. Ideally I'd h

I just (04-20-20) downloaded and installed the lastest version of DW CC. When I copy text that has links in it from a Word file or from a website page, the links do not copy over into the DW file I am working in. I've been using DW since 1990s and have never had this problem. Help!

I am using Dreamweaver CS6 on a mid-2011 iMac. I designed and published a website http://wisconsin-auto-historians.org/index.html When viewing the home page on my iMac the subhead in the body appears correct showing it as 18pt Ariel bold italic. When viewing the home page on my iPhone7 the subhead appears much smaller, 12 pt Ariel Bold  italic. this happens on three of the website pages (About Us, Activities and Contact). On the Wisconsin Projects, Join and The Spark/Carhart pages the subhead appears as the correct size, 18pt Ariel bold italic. I have compared the code for all the pages for the subhead in there is no difference in the code other than the wording of the subhead.  My question is How do I fix this? I've never had a problem with creating web photo albums thru the dreamweaver Command, but now I am getting an error message that say 'This command requires an active document" after the process has started and gets part way through. Any suggestions would be greatly welcom.

I wonder how articles, in my case news articles are replaced with newer ones in website developed via DW with archiving previous ones? I mean archiving without losing access to them in webpage 2. How to close a list of items, so that when adding another heading, last one disappears in a particular part of html page, but without losing accessibility to them? Please see the screenshot below for better understanding the questions. Best regards      

Hello. I'm adding a simple popup message to my page using 'behaviours' and have set the event to trigger on page load. All is working as expected, but I wonder whether it's possible to edit/customise this behaviour? For example, the 'OK' button currently closes the window; can it be configured to link to another page on my website? Also, is it possible to change the 'IP' text (top left)? Thanks for any advice.

I recently download the PHP file from FTP and refresh the same file on local system. But the file was corrupt.Can I get back my old file like undo?

I am writing through a translator. I apologize if there is a poorly readable text. The problem is that dreamveaver wraps \ characters How to disable this? I tried to configure .jsbeautifyrc but nothing came of it. How to remove php formatting altogether? And the question is how to make a normal selection, now it is like this: it prevents viewing the code under it.

Hello,I am brand new to web design and am trying to build a simple website in my dev. I'm working on a desktop with Windows 10, I've turned on IIS (v.10.0.18362.1). I'm using the templates in dreamweaver and have created a few pages that all link together but have notices that even though they look great in the real-time preview I cannot get them to load correctly when navigated to through IIS. Since I'm new to this and have no coding experience I am not sure if it's an issue with those templates and how I've used them or if it's an issue within IIS. My limited knowledge of how websites work does make me think that maybe since i'm using "http" in IIS (I don't have an SSL), that is why they load without the formatting? Any tips or hints at where to look would be greatly appreciated!

Theoretically, is it possible to create a simple, interactive presentation or guide in XD, transfer that to Dreamweaver, then transfer that to WordPress as a functioning "website"?What I'm looking to do is create an interactive and shareable benefits guide - for instance "Click here to learn how to save money", or embed a video, scroll through this page or that, etc. Sort of like those Prezi presentations. What kind of skills would one need? Is using and connecting these three programs even possible?

Hello, all, I am currently using Dw CC 18.1 (build 10155), and I'm having issue with the fact that every time I click on a tag to edit it, the whole tag is highlighted.  I'd like to disable that feature, as I find the highlighted text difficult to read.  And it just distracts me from what I need to do for the edit. V/r, ^ _ ^

Someone called me wanting to configure their Shopify website, saying they needed the point-of-sale capability. I have used Cartweaver in the past, but I doubt it has evolved this functionality. Otherwise I have gotten familiar with the VirtueMart extension for the Joomla CMS, but do not believe it has POS capability either. Has anyone else been asked about POS capability when asked to do an ecommerce site? Or is the argument in favor of value enough? The non-basic version of Shopify is $79/month.

Hi there,I am experiencing problem with my website development in Dreamweaver. The problem is that all coding in live view suddenly became distorted and messed up. I have spent a year on this design and coding now it all seems gone. However, it appears normally when checking in browesers lik Safari or Mozilla. But as coding pages in Dreamweaver itself are in disorder, I cannot develpp website, html pages further. Highly appreciate if anybody could suggest how to fix it. Kind regards

I have been trying to correct this problem but I can't figure out how.As you can see my footer has somehow engulfed the table contents. I have tried to move it around. I've thrown out the old footer and replaced it but it still wound up engulfing the entire table. I need to separate them. Help!
