Question

AAMEE and APT

I need to change the AdobeID password for the account used to register all my lab computers that I deployed with AAMEE 3.1.   Most of my colleauges have updated their installs by using the AdobeSerialization tool with a prov.xml file.  However they did not deploy with AAMEE.  When I read the instructions for using APT to re-serialize my installations I find this fromt he APT Enterprise manual:

"

To generate the prov.xml file for products that do not use AAMEE for enterprise deployment, run the following command as admin:

adobe_prtk --tool=VolumeSerialize --generate --serial=<serialnum> --leid=<LEID of product> [--regsuppress=ss] [--eulasuppress] [--locales=limited list of locales in xx_XX format or ALL>] [--provfilepath=<Absolute path to prov.xml>]

Before I change the adobeID password and bring down my labs, I want to make sure I have the right instructions to re-serialize.  Do I use AAMEE to create a new serialization file. Or do I use the :adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid= LEID --serial= serialNum --adobeid= AdobeID listed earlier in the APT manual or do I use the instructions above to generate a prov.xml anyways, or do I do something entirely different?

Thanks.
