Able to manage apps on one machine, but not another

I have a seat on my company's enterprise account. On my laptop I was able to download and update all of the apps on our plan using the creative cloud,  signed into this same account.

I am unable to do the same on my 2019 iMac. It has 2019 versions of the software already installed (maybe from a disk or download rather than the cloud) and is not listed as a registered device on my account. When I try to update or download fresh copies of any of the software, my creative cloud app says I don't have access to manage apps - but I do have access to manage them on my other machine, using the same credentials, so why won't it work on this one?

I'm afraid to uninstall all of the old software on my desktop without being certain that I'll have the ability to replace it with a new copy. I've contacted my admin and so far they've not been able to help with my issue which is why I'm here. Since I can download software to a different machine using this account, it seems the permissions must be somewhere else. Any help is appreciated so that I can steer my IT team towards a solution.

We finally found a solution, which was to overwrite the libray file called "ServiceConfig.xml" to say "true" rather than "false" as seen in the following link:

sign out of your cc desktop app on your imac.  then sign back in and select the desired profile.

Thanks for chiming in. I've tried this numerous times. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstaling the creative cloud app itsself from scratch, with no change in the situation. It still says I don't have access to manage apps on this machine.

it's also worth mentioning that when I'm signed into my account in my browser, I do have buttons that say download and update - but when I click them it directs me to the creative cloud desktop app that then tells me I don't have access.
