Acrobat DC installed and runs, but shows no GUI

I have successfully installed adobe acrobat DC with a known working package, inputting the license at install time. Once everything shakes out, I can run the program, Windows task manager shows it as running, but there is no GUI at all.

I have a customer now who cannot complete their work due to this.
