Acrobat shared license detection?

In the past I've been able to differentiate between Acrobat shared and Acrobat named user license installations based on the existence of the "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs" folder as documented in the link below.

https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/sdl-faq.html

"How can we differentiate a Shared Device Licensing install from a Named User Licensing install on a machine?
Look for the OperatingConfigs folder on your machine, it exists only for Shared Device Licensing installs.

Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs"

That folder is no longer created after installing the shared license version. Is there an updated method of detecting a shared license vs named user?

Hi @andym68462150,

Thanks for reaching out.

Based on your query, it appears you’re trying to differentiate between Acrobat shared device and named user license installations. However, you mentioned that you checked the following location but couldn’t find the folder:

Windows: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\OperatingConfigs

Could you please confirm if this is the issue you need assistance with?

Additionally, please let me know if you’re experiencing this behavior on multiple machines or just a few.

I recommend running the Shared Device Licensing Toolkit on the affected machine to check whether license details are visible. This will help determine whether a shared device license is installed.

You can refer to this documentation for detailed steps:https://adobe.ly/4p760ps

Windows command to check license information: adobe-licensing-toolkit.exe --licenseInformation

Hope this helps! Awaiting your response.

This is happening on all of my installations.

Using the licensing toolkit both named user licenses and shared licenses return the same result -

Adobe Licensing Toolkit (1.1.0.130)
License Details
